Dahlonega Wine Tours
Besides breathtaking mountain views, Dahlonega is also home to six premium wineries and eight tasting rooms. Hiking
Hike Dahlonega, Georgia’s most popular nearby trails, including the immense tumbling waterfall at Amicalola Falls to day hikes on the Appalachian Trail. Another great short hiking option is Dahlonega's Lake Zwerner and Yahoola Creek Reservoir. Zwerner includes several hiking paths, which take about an hour and a half to hike, along with boat ramp and dock, picnic facilities, and fishing access.

Discover Gold
Go panning for gold and gem stones when you tour either Crisson Gold Mine or Consolidated Gold Mine. These are the two remaining gold mines left in Lumpkin County. And be sure and visit the Dahlonega Gold Museum, Georgia’s oldest. The Gold Museum offers visitors an up close look at Dahlonega and Georgia’s gold mining history, including a complete collection of gold coins -- worth a small fortune -- minted right here in Dahlonega!
